Saddle Kit Testimonials  

 

   Building my first saddle using the Wade saddle kit from JJ Maxwell Saddle
 and Tack was a great learning experience.  Even though I had done leather
 tooling and made belts, wallets, and other small projects, my ultimate
 goal was to make a saddle. This kit gave me the opportunity to fulfill a
 life-long dream.
 
 The quality of all the materials was top notch.  The leather was all
 precut, and all supplies such as buckles, thread, and glue were included.
 The instructions on the videos were great and very thorough, but still
 left room for personal interpretation.  As I watched the videos of Joe
 building a saddle, in the comfort of my living room, I felt like I had a
 personal teacher.  I found Joe to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful
 whenever I had questions.
 
 The process of building this saddle was as meaningful to me as having the
 finished product.  In this world of instant everything and hurry,
 leatherwork provides me with a retreat, especially doing things the
 old-fashioned way.  I did all the stitching by hand, which was a lot of
 work and took a lot of time, but it made it special to me.
 
 So, would I do it over again? You bet I would!!  The process was great,
 and the finished saddle is great!  It's comfortable, it fits my horse
 well, and I am pleased to have done it myself.  I am very thankful to
 Joe, and his entire staff, for making this kit available!

               I enclose herewith a picture of the saddle I made from the kit purchased from you. The saddle was complete except for the stirrups, which were not quite finished when this picture was taken.

I am an amateur saddle maker, making saddles only for my own use or the use of my ranch hands.

I was much impressed with the quality of the material you supplied and the instructions on the video tape were extremely helpful. I could not believe that you could come up with the precut parts that would make into a saddle as well as these did, and certainly think you did a great job in making all of these parts available as you did.

My thanks for furnishing me with a very fine set of instructions, plans, parts, and the like.

  To Whom it may Concern:

          The first of January 2004, we ordered a saddle kit from you folks. It took some time and hard work, but it is beautiful. I want to thank you so much. It really came out beautiful, and we have been using it on the ranch.

The one thing I really enjoyed about the saddle JR made, is that it made like a real saddle. He made the saddle for himself, and after he finished, I would like to have one for myself. Thank you so much.
